“Dayle is by far the most knowledgeable and skilled fly fisherman and guide that I have ever fished with, and I feel fortunate to know him and his delightful wife Barbara. My son and I are looking forward to getting out to Wyoming this summer again. Dale doesn’t just put you on fish, he also shares his vast and immense knowledge of various techniques and skills that will improve your “game”. These folks are the best!” -Jerry Leininger
DAYLE & BARBARA MAZZARELLA
As one of the world’s approximately 210 International Federation of Fly Fishers’ Master Casting Instructors Dayle Mazzarella has been, for over 40 years, a highly successful coach and teacher with numerous coach and teacher of the year awards for his leadership success. Dayle was born in Wyoming and has spent much of every summer exploring this magnificent state. Beginning in 1987, Dayle has worked as a fly fishing guide in Western Wyoming, but has specialized in fishing and guiding the Green River, Hams Fork, and Smiths Fork drainages for the past 5 years.
In addition to his Wyoming experiences, Dayle has fished in South America, Alaska, Mexico, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Fishing for Snook, Bonefish, Redfish, Rooster Fish, Tarpon, Dorado, Sharks and other large gamefish has expanded his knowledge base and, more importantly, allowed him to better communicate fly fishing to his clients. Dayle believes his priorities are the safety of his clients, the pursuit of a fun and exhilarating experience, as well as the development of self-sufficiency so that those under his guidance can continue to enjoy the sport of fly fishing long after they have spent time with him and Barbara.
Barbara spent her career as a school psychologist and uses those skills to keep the boys in line! As is the real backbone of the operation, she keeps track of communications and correspondence, manages the calendar, prepares the meals and lunches, reservations and shuttles, as well as a myriad of other details that allow Dayle to give his casting students and fishing clients an incredibly organized and well thought out experience.
